Mr. Paul Maguire Brings The Awesome: WISC vs. FSU in Champ Sports Bowl

Since Paul Maguire moved to ESPN away from broadcast television, I have missed him dearly. Canadian broadcasting laws dictate that all capable commentators be replaced by Rod Black and his mustache grease.
In what may be the most pathetic moment of this Holiday season, Paul admitted that he got “zippo” for Christmas because his BASTARD grandchildren didn’t get him anything.

Paul MaGuire and Marv Albert brought me up on football, until Phil Simms came in and ruined everything.
Paul MaGuire’s voice, along with Dan Dierdorf were the voice of the NFL to me. Both of them were born in Ohio, and they just sound like people who know their football.
Really, neither one brings anything incredibly special to the broadcast other than their crazy-awesome voices.
Needless to say, I’m enjoying the Score broadcasting the ESPN feed of the Champ Sports Bowl.
Apparently Paul MaGuire did some CFL games at some point during his ballin ass career, which makes me happy.
I haven’t seen Bobby Bowden in a while, but fuck is he starting to look old.
Free Cable ends soon, and I will mourn its loss. Soon, my days will no longer consist of petting the cat and watching football for the entire day and instead I’ll have to spend time with people.
