I can’t see Mark Sanchez staying another year at USC, eventhough he’d probably elevate his draft stock and possibly be the Number 1 Quarterback going into the 2010 draft.

With a 65 percent completion percentage, 30 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions — he appears to be ready.

It’ll be interesting to see how Sanchez performs in the Rose Bowl.  Most of the year, this junior hasn’t been required to win games for USC.  They’re defense has been so unbelievably good, that the offense has really only needed a TD or two.

Sanchez is a terrific pro prospect, but he’s an inch or two shorter than ideal height.  His weight is fine, so long as he maintains his mobility in the pocket. If he’s required to be a pure pocket passer, he could add some weight and screw the speed.  Currently, he’s got adequate speed to escape the rush and shuffle throughout the pocket.

He seems to have great footwork, and can move around in the pocket fairly well. BUT, he’s got some issues getting rid of the ball at times. I suppose when you’re line is as skilled as USC’s you start assuming you can take 5 to 7 seconds to find a receiver, but at the next level he’ll have to improve upon reading the defense and hucking the rock.

His arm isn’t a question, and while its not quite as strong as Staffords — he can make all the throws.  His deep balls are pretty and he’s got solid technique.  Everything he throws is catchable, which should be a perfect fit for a west coast team.

With the plethora of O-Line and defensive talent, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sanchez slips to the mid-twenties.

However, you should definitely look for someone to trade up to the low-teens to snag him after both Bradford and Stafford come off the board.

Sanchez would be smart to stick around another year, but the dearth of top level talent combined with the possible restructuring of the NFL-Rookie contracts will lead to him coming out a year early.

By the  way, Mark Sanchez really looks like a douchebag:
